I am qualified to tutor students with ADHD due to my hands-on experience as a former literacy tutor at an elementary school in St. Petersburg, FL. While working there, I regularly used visual timers, movement breaks, and clear, structured expectations to help students with even severe ADHD stay focused and engaged. For example, by combining direct, structured phonics instruction with interactive phonics games, several of my students improved their reading scores by two grade levels and developed a genuine excitement for learning to read. I will apply these same strategies with your child - using engaging, multisensory activities, consistent routines, and most importantly, frequent positive feedback to ensure they feel supported, stay on track, and make meaningful academic progress despite the challenges of ADHD.
