I graduated from the University of Washington with my bachelor's degree in biology, so I'm qualified to tutor ALL levels of biology, general chemistry, physics, and high school math. I want to share my knowledge and passion to help you hone and build on your skills in subjects that I love. The skills you learn with me can be used wherever life takes you.

I've been tutoring elementary to college level students for 5+ years, and teach middle and high school math, science, and english at a local homeschool enrichment campus. I have learned how to be adaptive and attentive to student needs. Everyone learns differently, and I always try to find the best fit for you to get the most out of our sessions. It's important to give students a safe space to learn the material, which is why I always celebrate your wins and let you know it's okay if you don't understand. Students have shown great improvement in the course under my guidance, and I want to offer that opportunity to you!

I have received high marks in every English class that I have taken throughout my academic career. Many of my English professors have recommended me as a tutor because they believe others would greatly benefit from my assistance. I studied biology and graduated with my Bachelor's in Biology as a Dean's list student. I have studied behavior in crows, genetics and anatomy in salmon, and worked as a naturalist teaching kids and families about the biodiversity in our area. As a naturalist, I also applied for grants, graded research papers, performed sea turtle night walks, and helped with sea turtle nest digs.

For the past 2 years, I have been teaching homeschooled children middle and high school science and writing. This includes earth science, biology, and science labs. I worked as a naturalist for a marine biology organization, where I taught oceanography, geology, and astronomy. I've also partaken in the set-up of a sky quality meter citizen science project, spreading awareness on how the night sky impacts other animals.

During these classes, I've put a strong emphasis on renewable energy, invasive species, global warming, pollution, and more. While working as a naturalist, I taught and presented about how we impact the environment, including acid rain, land use, and how our environment impacts our health.

I graduated from the University of Washington with my bachelor's degree in biology, so I'm qualified to tutor ALL levels of biology, general chemistry, physics, and high school math. I excelled in my genetics course, earning a 100%, and absolutely loved them. I also had the opportunity to regularly survey stretches of North Creek by counting the numbers of sockeye present, and recording and collecting carcasses to determine relative abundance and distribution of anadromous and residual sockeye. With DNA samples from our carcasses, we performed PCR to gain insight on if there are native sockeye genes present.
