After earning my degree from the University of Southern California in 1992, I began my career in language education by teaching English in Barcelona, Spain. With over 33 years of experience in the field, I remain passionate about helping students of all ages—ranging from 6 to 96—learn English, Spanish, and French.
My teaching approach is highly adaptive and student-focused. I utilize a wide range of effective resources, including textbooks, software, and personalized materials, to align with each student’s level, goals, and timeframe. I firmly believe that every lesson should be tailored 100%—or even 200%—to the student's needs, with every word and concept grounded in their objectives.
In addition to teaching, I have spent over 20 years in educational leadership, managing skilled language instructors across certified schools. The Jacklin Language Center Group, which I lead, proudly held the prestigious Qualiopi Certification—an acknowledgment awarded only to language schools in France that demonstrate rigorous standards and exceptional results.
I view successful language learning as a combination of concentration, repetition, and enjoyment. Joy in the process—through challenge, effort, and achievement—is essential. I also incorporate humor as a core element of my methodology, making the experience engaging and memorable. Moreover, I emphasize the importance of cultural and historical context, as well as the enriching role of travel, in truly mastering a language.
