I believe rubrics are very important in every assignment, given to ensure students know what is expected of them. A pragmatic approach to teaching is best when training future college bound, Intelligence Specialists or Homeland Security professionals. Mentoring and tutoring are extremely rewarding to me and I still love to see that light bulb go off when a students begins to understand the subject or concept being taught.
It is very rare when a person can love their job as much as I do, and also have the opportunity to train others on the importance of History or the tradecraft of Intelligence Analysis successfully. Giving a blueprint to students, as well as lessons learned have been proven to work, and also to give them pitfalls to watch out for that I have seen others as well as myself fall into as a Masters student, teacher and Intelligence professional. I currently am teaching on-line Bachelor’s level courses at Tiffin University, specifically ENF312 History of Terrorism. I have created a courses ENF312, Concepts of Terrorism, and ENF411, Intelligence Analysis. Experienced teaching at all levels I mostly work with middle school, high school, college and adult students. Each student requires various teaching methods that work best with their skills and abilities. There is no "one size fits all" approach to my tutoring.
