Learning Spanish should be practical, enjoyable, and meaningful. As a native Spanish speaker and education professional with more than 32 years of teaching experience, I have had the opportunity to teach students from different ages and backgrounds in Spanish- and English-speaking environments. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, a Diploma in Spanish Language Teaching as a Foreign Language, a Georgia Educator Certificate in Spanish P-12, and a Florida Statement of Eligibility.

As a native Spanish speaker and education professional with more than 32 years of teaching experience, I have had the opportunity to teach students from different ages and backgrounds in Spanish- and English-speaking environments. My experience includes teaching Spanish to primary and middle school students as well as university students. Most recently, I taught Spanish at the middle-school level in Georgia, creating engaging lessons and activities that helped students develop their language skills and confidence. I also taught university-level Spanish in Jamaica, where I provided individualized guidance and supported students with different learning needs. My approach is centered on communication and real-life language use. I want my students to feel comfortable practicing Spanish, making mistakes, asking questions, and gradually becoming more confident communicators. My goal is not only to help you learn Spanish, but also to help you enjoy using it.

Friendly, patient, and easy to understand.

Francisco is a great Spanish teacher. He's friendly and patient, and he explains things in a way that's easy to understand. In our first lesson he took the time to find out where my Spanish was and what I needed to work on, and he's built each lesson around that. He keeps things conversational and practical, so I'm learning Spanish I can actually use. When we worked on verb conjugations and gustar, he laid them out in simple charts that made them much easier to follow. He was also flexible about where we met, which I really appreciated. I'd recommend him to any adult who wants to actually speak Spanish, not just study it.
