I have a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in math from the University of Central Florida. During my college career, I have tutored a wide variety of students from subjects ranging from prep math 1 through differential equations through one-on-one settings as well as group settings. I used to tutor at the Math Assistance Learning Lab (MALL), where I completed homework and quizzes that the students would be assigned a week later, ensuring that I was prepared and well-versed with what the students were currently studying. I tutored students in intermediate and college algebra, trigonometry, and pre-calculus while there.

While tutoring math at Palm Beach State College, I have built great relationships with many students and have helped them better understand math and feel more hopeful about learning and experiencing success in their coursework. I have tutored students of many different ages and backgrounds in one-on-one settings, group settings, and online utilizing zoom and its annotation capabilities. I have received many letters of praise from students for helping them reach or progress towards their goals.

I love sharing my knowledge with others and reinforcing my own knowledge of math concepts. I am very patient and explain concepts thoroughly. I like to guide students through the problems and stop at the instant there is a question with any step. I like to ask students questions along the way to ensure they are engaged and actively working through the problem to the best of their abilities. I also like to provide context as to where any particular problem can be encountered in the real world.

I am well versed with a wide variety of math subjects including prep math, pre-algebra, algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, statistics, calculus, and differential equations.
