I do have tutoring experience, both individual and small group. I try to make my lessons fun, engaging, and relatable, all while explicitly teaching the content that needs to be taught. Then tutoring would happen after school. In my classroom, I work with my students in small groups. They are grouped together by what skill they need help in. I love working in smaller groups and individually because I really get to know the students personally and academically.
Although I teach ELA, Writing, and Social Studies at the moment, I am knowledgeable in the other elementary content areas. I work closely with my Math and Science partner teacher. I am competent with the Florida State Standards. I have taught 5th grade for the past 2 years however, I did teach 3rd grade my first year in Florida.
