Hello Good People I am Jerri who loves social studies and find it easy to get others interested in this awesome subject. I have been teaching for 11 years now (2yrs in Volusia County and 9yrs in St Lucie County) and I find it to be very satisfying to be an educator. I not only educate through books but by my life experiences. I am a veteran of the armed forces (served 4yrs in the Navy) and I have seen and done many things others have not encountered. My educational background is somewhat very unique because they are a make up of three different industries. I have a Bachelor of Arts in History, Masters in Business Administration and a Masters in Educational Leadership. How does it work? Well I simply infuse all three together by one main component and that is "People." All studies link to human behavior by some shape or form. I have always pride myself to be a non traditional teacher who has an ability to get students to understand and grasp the content. Its not about remembering dates it just the facts that matter. Its not all about studying what was then, it should be about, How did we get to this point? Nothing is new under the sun its all reformed and that is my spin on history and my brief summation of how I would teach it. I look forward to meeting you soon.
