Hi, I'm Sonia. I'm originally from Central America. I have a bachelor's in environmental science and have worked for many years as an activist, researcher, proofreader, and editor of scientific literature (in Spanish). I've been teaching Spanish as a tutor since college (over 20 years ago), and I have been an online tutor for the past 3 years. I love teaching and designing lessons tailored to my students. All ages and levels are welcome. I have experience teaching elementary kids (5 years old and up) and teenagers, with great success in getting better grades and test scores. I also teach adults, from beginners to intermediate and advanced, conversation practice to gain confidence and fluency. My lessons cover grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, idiomatic expressions (from various countries in Latin America), and conversation practice. Besides Spanish, I have a passion for all things health and wellness. I also like to learn about new topics that interest my students and incorporate them into lessons. I'm curious and receptive, which makes me an excellent conversation partner for practice.
