Mike is a detail-oriented, technical professional with a strong work ethic. Mike has over 35 years of technology experience including: computer hardware/software support; networking; cyber security; database/application development (Access, SQL Server); web development (SharePoint, HTML, VBScript, etc.) and computer systems administration (Windows, Office, etc.). His consulting background includes program management experience; technology training; training curriculum design, course development and delivery. He holds several I.T. industry certifications from CompTIA, Microsoft, EC-Council, and more. He has been teaching technology courses professionally for over 12 years in both the private sector and at the college level.

In addition to his technical background, Mike has been playing the guitar for over 45 years. This includes over 20 years experience playing in a worship setting. He has taught guitar in both the public schools and via private lessons. Mike has played professionally for several productions by the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center. He holds a B.A. in Audio Recording and Production and worked as a radio DJ for several years before moving into the technology sector. Mike has extensive experience as an audio engineer (FOH and studio), as well as video editing experience. Mike is constantly seeking new ways to merge his love of music with his technology background.

Mike's teaching style is a mix of the theoretical and the practical. While with this corporation I was part of the technology training team that helped migrate their 600+ users from Windows 3.0 to Windows 95 to Windows NT 4. While there I also worked with many Windows-based programming, training and desktop publishing applications such as Microsoft Office (with lots of work in Access), Lotus Notes, Visual Basic, SQL Server, Photoshop, etc. After leaving that firm, I worked for 11 years with a management consulting firm creating and implementing various Windows-based applications for several Fortune 100 financial services clients. During this time I gained valuable experience working with the various versions of the Windows Server (2000 and up), as well as all the different versions of Windows since then (XP through Windows 11). I have created various training job aids and have delivered instructor-led training on Windows and Windows-based applications. My recent work includes installing, configuring and training clients on the both the Professional and Home editions of Windows. I have many years of experience troubleshooting and managing Windows on both laptops and desktop computers, in addition to Windows Server.

Good experience!

This was my first experience using a tutor for learning a computer program. It was better than anticipated. Mr M. was knowledgeable and thorough in his approach. Further he was flexible enough to allow me to learn the elements I was most interested in first and then proceeded to show me how other elements supported what I was curious about. He definitely broke the ice for me with ACCESS 2010.
