Hello or Bonjour!

My name is Cheyenne, and I am a certified educator with eight years of classroom experience and a Master's degree in Educational Psychology. Throughout my career, I have taught English Language Arts, French, leadership, and advanced coursework while helping students develop the academic skills, confidence, and learning strategies necessary for long-term success.

I specialize in executive functioning, ADHD support, study skills, English, writing, grammar, literature, French, ESL/ESOL, psychology, and academic coaching. My background in educational psychology, linguistics, and language acquisition allows me to help students not only master content but also develop the organization, time management, critical thinking, and self-regulation skills that support lifelong learning.

As both an educator and learning science practitioner, I believe effective tutoring goes beyond completing assignments or preparing for exams. My goal is to help students understand how they learn, build confidence in their abilities, and develop practical strategies they can apply independently. Whether a student is struggling with writing, language learning, organization, motivation, reading comprehension, or study habits, I work collaboratively to create personalized approaches that meet their unique needs.

I have experience supporting diverse learners, including multilingual learners, students with ADHD, and students seeking enrichment or advanced academic challenges. My tutoring sessions are structured, engaging, and evidence-based, combining clear instruction with opportunities for practice, reflection, and growth.

Above all, I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing confidence in their abilities.

I look forward to helping you achieve your goals!

Very patient and well thought out responses

I have used WyzAnt before and had another great tutor. So I do have a means of comparison. Today was the first of many lessons and I look forward to learning from this bright woman. We used the phone and she had to figure out what part of the computer I was looking at, and she still managed to keep me on the path. GREAT!
