I help undergraduate and MBA students and FINRA candidates get through finance without drowning in slides or formula decks. I taught Investments and Financial Management to over 350 students at the University of North Florida, built those courses from scratch, and was nominated most impactful professor in consecutive semesters. Many people who contact me can follow a lecture and still freeze on a multi-step problem. That is the gap the first session is built to close.

Before we meet I review what you send: a syllabus, homework set, exam outline, or FINRA content map. You leave with a written study plan and a cheat sheet built from that material. For a college or MBA class, the sheet uses your course's notation. For the SIE or Series 7, 63, 65, 86, or 87, it covers the rules and decision points on the test. Sheets for different exams stay separate.
Sessions stay simple. I work one idea at a time, walk through a full example, then have you do the next one out loud. I define terms in plain English and write variables in words as well as symbols. That pace helps students who read slowly, students with dyslexia, and anyone who freezes once the numbers start moving.
I earned a BBA in Finance from Temple and an MBA in Quantitative Finance from NYU Stern, where I was a teaching assistant and an analyst for the Michael Price Student Investment Fund. I passed CFA Level I and have held the Series 7, 63, 65, 86, and 87 licenses. I spent over three years as an equity research analyst at Susquehanna International Group and Credit Suisse. I also analyzed bank reports at the Philadelphia Fed, reviewed filings as a FINRA examiner, and later led investor relations at a NYSE-listed company. I use that work to explain why a formula or rule exists, not only how to memorize it.
I also teach valuation and the skills used to think and work like an investor, along with accounting, economics, and finance career prep. Send the syllabus, exam name, or next problem set and I will tell you how I would use the first hour.
