Hello, my name is Bella. Currently, I am in my fourth and final year of University. I have been a math and ELA tutor for eight years. Most of my tutoring experience revolves around the Primary and Secondary school (K-12) curriculum.

Hello, my name is Bella. Currently, I am in my fourth and final year of University. I have been a math and ELA tutor for eight years. Most of my tutoring experience revolves around the Primary and Secondary school (K-12) curriculum.

The math concepts I teach include Elementary math, Pre-algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. The ELA concepts I prioritize include Grammar, Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Critical Thinking, and Writing Skills. In addition, I also assist students in strengthening essential skills such as note-taking, time management, and study strategies.

Having been a tutor for a long time, one of the biggest lessons that I have learned is in Adaptability. Not all students are the same; some require more attention or patience than others. I have learned to adapt my teaching style in several different ways in order to provide the most effective learning experience possible. My goal is not only to teach a subject but to increase a student's self-esteem and encourage self-motivation. Some of the most effective methods that I utilize include Positive Reinforcement, Consistency, and Goal Setting.

Am not pursuing any degree in relation to mathematics. All qualifications comes from my experience in high school and college. Highest level of math completed was statistics. However, I am only fully confident in my skills up to Algebra 1.

As the prelude to Algebra 1, my main focus when teaching this subject is to apply foundational skills to basic Arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). To lay the groundwork for Algebra, I prioritize advanced problem solving and introducing key topics such as Rational Numbers, Expressions, and Equations. My goal is to help students build upon prior knowledge and apply new material to familiar concepts.

I have done reading tutoring for six years. My main focus is on comprehension and apprehension. My skills range from teaching to read to encouraging higher level reading.

Amazing tutor!

Bella is a fantastic tutor. She helped my 9-year old son with math concepts that he was having trouble with. She explained it and broke it down in a way that made it easy for him to understand. She was very encouraging and my son really enjoyed her. He went to school with new confidence. His teacher called me and told me that he went to the board and worked out problems in front of the class and got it completely correct! We will definitely continue to use Bella.

Communicative and reliable! Great algebra tutor for my son!

My son is 12 and started to struggle with math after a year of online education. He is not very communicative but he got alone immediately with Bella in his first math lesson and asked me to keep scheduling with her. She is a millennium and response to my first inquire in ten minutes (I sent messages to 3 tutors before I wrote to her and they did not answer). She has knowledge, she is responsible and reliable!
