Hi my name is Katherine. I tutor a wide range of subjects including math, science, and writing. I am an experienced SAT, ACT, and GRE tutor in all sections and have assisted many students in achieving a higher score to reach their goals. My students are primarily middle, high school, and college students who I enjoy guiding through their educational journeys. It is fulfilling for me to help students not only grasp the material but to become empowered in their education.

I believe in making learning enjoyable and try to make the process as beneficial as possible. I am very patient and understand that students have their unique learning styles. I tailor my tutoring to each individual's specific needs and use a variety of tools to explain, review, tie to overall material, show analogies, provide a variety of examples, and prepare practical test questions. I also offer supplementary online resources that are engaging and helpful for further study.

I enjoy applying math and science principles to practical, real-life situations and creating relatable examples. It is rewarding for me when students gain mastery and develop confidence. I believe that having a strong background in core subjects prepares everyone for successful careers, and I am happy to help my students along their paths.

I have over 15 years of tutoring experience in mathematics, science, and English/writing. I have also tutored and taught at the college level, including research methods, psychology, and public health. I have a master's degree from Stanford University and enjoy teaching a variety of multidisciplinary subjects.
