"Carol, I'm so impressed with the way you worked with my daughter. You spoke to her about her paper without making it seem like she needed a lot of work. You have a special gift!"

My clients have told me that I not only improved their finished written products, but, by talking through their work together, I have taught them how to become better writers. They are also happy that their voice is still heard in their writing, but in a more sophisticated, persuasive way.

From college and graduate school entrance essays to resumes and cover letters for employment, I can help you emphasize your strengths and be persuasive without overtly bragging. I know what admissions officials and/or prospective employers want to read.

Because I taught primarily high school Honors English, I know what students need to know to do well on the ACT and SAT English and Reading tests plus the AP Lang exam. Grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, vocabulary, and spelling help from me will ensure a satisfying finished product.

My graduate work after getting my Master's earned me a Secondary Education endorsement with an English minor.

I can just proofread/edit your paper for you with no explanation as to why i made the changes I did, but I prefer to teach along with the editing so that your future writing will be improved. Clients have said that they learned so much from me in a few short hours. The teacher in me loves that!

I'm vaccinated, but would prefer online lessons at this time.

Amazing Tutor and College Counselor!

I have had 10 lessons with Carol so far, and within those meetings, she has helped me raise my SAT English score by 70 points! She has also started helping me prepare my college essay and has given amazing advice on how to go about writing as a whole. She is incredibly sweet, easy to talk to, and always considers your wants and needs throughout the tutoring and college counseling processes. I will be continuing lessons with her in the future.
