Currently I am employed as a substitute teacher for Broward County Public Schools. I typically substitute for kindergarten-third grade classes. Prior to being in the classroom setting, I gained experience working with children with special needs as a behavior therapist for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am able to utilize specific strategies and techniques to make sure that each lesson is tailored to fit that particular child's learning style.
I have taken graduate-level education courses as part of my training including subject-area reading and literacy in special education. I special in reading assistance, but I am open to all Elementary-level subject areas. I look forward to hearing from you!
