Hello, my name is Jonathan. I graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Political Science and minors in Psychology and Judaic Studies. I have tutored for a few years and specialize in social sciences, history, English language skills, computers, religion, chess, and math. I also do basic tutoring for Hebrew language studies as well as some other fields.

I believe each student is different and learns in his or her own way. As such, each student requires a unique goal-oriented study plan. In order to create the right agenda, I start by assessing each pupils strengths and weaknesses. I then create an individualized study plan that factors in pace, material level, understanding, objectives and attention span. So, for example, someone with a low attention span may have a 30 minute to 1 hour session whereas someone with a large attention span may have a 1 or 2 hour session.

Generally speaking, I am flexible in terms of session times and meeting places. For both our convenience I ask for a 24 hour cancellation notice.

At the end of the day I aim for results. I break down large complicated material into smaller pieces and tackle them one at a time. I work with students of all ages and always solicit questions and input from my pupils.

Great all around

Jonathan is great with my son. He was able to build a connection with my son immediately. Which is a very difficult thing since my son tends to not think fondly of teachers and absolutely hates studying or doing homework. At the end of their first lesson my son came away confident in the knowledge he gained and even commented about how much he liked Jonathan. I truly believe that the lessons will not only help increase his grade point average, but more importantly his self esteem.

Very Knowledgeable and patient with my 12 year old

Jonathan did an amazing job in working with my son in math. He found easy solutions to teach my son math problems that he originally had trouble understanding. I highly recommend him.

Very knowledgeable and through!

Most tutors would just start tutoring on a subject without finding out the root cause of the problem. Jonathan took the time to assess the problem looking at her grades and quality work that she actually does to know how to better assist my daughter. I am very pleased with his quality of work!

Sincere and result oriented

My son is a senior in high school and he has taken a college class in Psychology for dual credit. The subject matter was quite challenging for him and he got an F in the first two tests. We decided to get a tutor to help him. We got lucky with Jonathan. He jumped right in and in just three weeks my son got an A in his next test. Jonathan teaches excellent study habits and he walked my son step by step on reaching his goal. Jonathan is detail oriented, patient and extracts the full potential of the student. He also keeps the parent involved which is the best part. He is also very encouraging and cares for the students success. I would highly recommend Jonathan!!!

By Far the Best Tutor You Can Ever Reach

My son was having problems with AP Psychology and with an easy two months he passed the final exam! This man helped a lot with my son and my son loved him! He has amazing people skills and teaches the students the way a calm and collected, but very straightforward, teacher would teach. If you are looking for a tutor by all means choose Jonathan.
