I specialize in helping middle and high school students understand math that has felt confusing or overwhelming. I tutor Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Precalculus, and my goal is simple: help students understand the why behind the steps, not just memorize enough to finish tonight's homework.

I specialize in helping middle and high school students understand math that has felt confusing or overwhelming. I tutor Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Precalculus, and my goal is simple: help students understand the why behind the steps, not just memorize enough to finish tonight's homework.

With more than 1,000 tutoring hours on Wyzant and 300+ ratings, I've helped students strengthen weak skills, prepare for tests, improve their grades, and—just as importantly—become more confident in math.

One of my greatest strengths is finding a different way to explain a concept when the first explanation didn't click. Sometimes a student isn't struggling with the current lesson at all; an earlier skill gap is getting in the way. I work to identify those gaps, break difficult concepts into manageable steps, and help students build from what they already know.

My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and relaxed, while still keeping students focused and accountable. I want students to feel comfortable saying, “I still don't understand,” because that's when we can figure out what explanation will work.

I earned both my bachelor's degree and MBA from Florida Atlantic University and have been tutoring since high school.

Algebra 1

I have years of experience tutoring Algebra 1 and helping students turn confusing concepts into skills they can confidently use on their own. I work with students on equations and inequalities, graphing, functions, systems of equations, exponents, polynomials, factoring, and other core Algebra 1 concepts while identifying foundational gaps that may be holding them back. My approach is patient and step-by-step, and I often show students multiple ways to approach a problem until we find the method that makes sense to them. Whether your student is struggling, preparing for a test, or wants consistent support throughout the school year, my goal is to help them understand Algebra, not just memorize the steps.
Algebra 2

I have years of experience helping Algebra 2 students understand challenging concepts while strengthening the Algebra 1 skills they need to succeed. I tutor topics including functions, systems of equations, polynomials and factoring, rational expressions, radicals, quadratics, exponential and logarithmic functions, and more. When a student is struggling, I look beyond the current assignment to identify foundational gaps that may be making Algebra 2 harder than it needs to be. My patient, step-by-step approach helps students prepare for tests, improve their problem-solving skills, and become more confident working independently.

I have years of experience helping Geometry students understand concepts that can feel abstract, confusing, or difficult to visualize. I tutor topics including angles, triangles, similarity and congruence, transformations, coordinate geometry, circles, area and volume, proofs, and other core Geometry concepts. I break problems into clear, manageable steps while also strengthening the algebra skills students often need to successfully solve Geometry problems. Whether your student is struggling with proofs, preparing for a test, or needs ongoing support, my goal is to make Geometry easier to understand while building confidence and stronger problem-solving skills.
Prealgebra

I have years of experience helping Prealgebra students strengthen the foundational skills they need to succeed in Algebra and higher-level math. I tutor topics including fractions, decimals, ratios and proportions, percentages, integers, expressions, equations, exponents, graphing, and other essential Prealgebra concepts. I identify skill gaps, break concepts into manageable steps, and adjust my explanations until students understand not only what to do, but why it works. My goal is to help students build a strong math foundation, improve their confidence, and enter Algebra 1 feeling prepared rather than overwhelmed.
