My name is Vladlena Ciubara and I am a WFM Women's FIDE Chess Master since 2004.
I have been playing chess professionally since I was 10 years old and I have more than 15 years of teaching experience.
In 2006 I became the Champion of Romania for Rapid Chess U20 Girls section and I have won and placed in over 54 different tournaments.
My passion is sharing the love for chess with my students, whether they are getting ready to compete or just want to beat their dad at chess haha.

Hi! My name is Vladlena and I am a WFM International Chess Federation Women's Master since 2004, I have been playing chess professionally for over 20 years and have more than 15 years of teaching experience, from tiny 3 year old geniuses to adults who love the game or love winning in tournaments, no student left behind! :) I have won many tournaments both Nationally here in the US, and internationally, and am coaching students to compete in major events such as the State Championship. I specifically tailor my lessons to every student because we all have different ways to learn, and I have a huge passion for making it as fun as possible. I teach in English, Russian and Romanian. Knowledgeable and patient tutor...

Vladlena has taught me in our first lesson the 4 move checkmate, controlling the center and not to double pawns, in addition not to block pieces...also she pointed out to castle as soon as possible...
