Hello! I recently graduated from New York University with a degree in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science and will soon be starting grad school in the Fall at Harvard University studying Maths. I have several years of experience working with students across a wide range of ages and skill levels. Throughout my academic and professional experience, I have developed a strong passion for helping students build confidence in mathematics and problem-solving. My most recent position is where I worked as a Math Instructor at Mathnasium of Williamsburg, where I have worked with over 100 students ranging from elementary school through high school. My experience includes one-on-one tutoring, small group instruction, progress tracking, and communicating with parents to help students achieve long-term academic improvement.
I specialize in subjects such as SAT Math, Pre/Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre/Calculus, and Trigonometry. I also have experience helping students prepare for exams, improve homework performance, and strengthen foundational concepts currently being taught in their respective classrooms. Because of my background in both mathematics and computer science, I focus heavily on logical thinking and conceptual understanding rather than memorization alone. I believe students perform best when they truly understand why a method works and can apply it independently.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and personalized to each student’s learning style and goals. Some students need help building confidence and reducing math anxiety, while others are looking for advanced problem-solving strategies and test preparation techniques. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing stronger academic habits over time. Whether the goal is improving grades, preparing for the SAT, or gaining confidence in math overall, I aim to make each session engaging, productive, and personalized to the learning student.
