Hello, and welcome! I am a University and College Professor with more than 14 years of teaching experience in higher education and language instruction. I currently teach English Composition, Literature, ESL/EAP, and academic writing courses at institutions including Broward College, Nova Southeastern University, Miami Dade College, and Nexus University. I also have experience teaching both English and Spanish as second languages at language institutes in South Florida. My educational background includes two bachelor’s degrees, two master’s degrees, professional certifications, and doctoral studies in Organizational Innovation.
I hold certifications in Human Research through the CITI Program, Effective College Instruction through ACUE and the American Council on Education, Effective Teaching Practice Framework certification, and a Quality Matters Teaching Online Certificate focused on online and hybrid instruction. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students from diverse academic, cultural, and language backgrounds, including middle school, high school, college, graduate, adult, and ESL learners. I have taught in classroom settings, online environments, hybrid courses, and one-on-one instruction.
My areas of specialization include English academic writing, rhetoric, literature, grammar, reading comprehension, TOEFL preparation, research writing, essay development, and communication skills. My teaching approach is student-centered, supportive, and focused on building confidence step by step. My goal is to help students strengthen their communication abilities, improve academic performance, and become more confident learners in both English and Spanish.
