I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Florida in Biology, Biomedical Science, and a minor in Chemistry. I graduated with this degree in 2019 with Summa Cum Laude distinction. Additionally, I hold a Master of Science degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Anatomical Sciences Education. I graduated with this degree in 2024, also with Summa Cum Laude distinction. Within these degrees I have taken the following relevant courses: Biology I, Biology II, Anatomy and Physiology I & II, Genetics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry I, Organic Chemistry II, Analytical Chemistry, Medical Anatomy, Medical Physiology, Medical Cell Biology, Medical Histology, Medical Embryology, Medical Endocrinology and Reproduction, Methods of Educational Research, Designing Technology-Rich Curricula, and Science Curriculum Development.
I have previously had over 4 years of college-level tutoring experience which has equipped me with the ability to adapt to a variety of learning styles. This tutoring has been both in one-on-one settings as well as in group settings. The subjects that I have tutored in the past are: Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Genetics, Biology, and Chemistry. Additionally, I have previously had over 1 year experience teaching college-level Anatomy and Physiology courses.
My educational degrees and experience have prepared me to help students in a variety of science subjects and has shaped me into a tutor who can create a positive and unique learning experience. My teaching method is rooted in my learning philosophy of Constructivism. I believe that individuals learn information by associating new ideas with pre-existing ideas, and experiences from their life. I am resourceful, patient, and eager to help students learn. I try to make learning as fun and engaging as possible!
