I love to read and write, but I know a lot of students struggle with reading, reading comprehension, and/or writing. I taught English Language Arts for 13 years, so I know lots of tricks and strategies to support students who struggle with these subjects. I have developed effective methods for helping students learn to love reading. I am also really great at supporting students as they learn to write at any level. I am super patient and understanding, after all teaching students basic reading fluency, reading comprehension, the rules of grammar, and how to write from sentences to essays is what I am really good at!
I have a Master's Degree in Education, with a specialization in Special Education. During my 15 years, I have taught students with almost all exceptionalities. Whether it is a Learning Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Emotional/Behavioral Disorder, or Gifted exceptionality, I have experience in offering any support needed.
