My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and highly adaptable. I want each student I work with to feel as though the lesson is personalized specifically for them and their learning style. I explain complex topics by breaking them down into manageable, step by step processes that students can understand and eventually enjoy. I believe it is especially important to emphasize not rushing through problems or skipping even the smallest steps while teaching these challenging topics. My goal is for my students to not memorize how to solve specific problems but understand the reasoning behind why the solutions work. This will lead to a lasting understanding and more success in assessments.
