I’m Amanda! I graduated Cum Laude from The University of West Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, with two minors in child welfare and juvenile justice. I then graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of West Florida with a Masters's degree in Exceptional Student Education and Applied Behavior Analysis.
I am currently certified as an Exceptional Student Education teacher in K-12. I have an additional certification in Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am currently working towards an endorsement in reading.
I have been working as a Kindergarten teacher for 4 years now, specializing in reading for kindergarten students with disabilities. I work on the necessary skills to help my students become fluent readers- phonological and phonemic awareness skills. I also focus on vocabulary. I work directly with my students in small groups of 3-5 students, and sometimes one on one.
I want to continue working to improve students' grades and help them succeed! I will provide very quick responses, and communicate fairly. Feel free to contact me with any questions, and/or to schedule a lesson!
