I have joined the ranks of a professional teacher late in life. My love of teaching has been cultivated through Church, and 4-H Leaderships roles. Since obtaining my degree in Elementary Education I have searched for a perfect fit and decided my volunteer work of small groups and one-on-one gives me experience to teach one-on-one. I can teach well in all subjects at the elementary level and have many hours of volunteer work that stand instead of hours teaching classrooms.

Much of my knowledge is experience though my love of reading has given me extensive textbook knowledge as well. I like to work hands on and challenge children to think beyond what they believe they can do.

My love of animals and plants comes through in a lifetime of experience. I have 20 plus years experience working with 4-H children in all projects. I have fifteen plus years experience working in and learning the nursery business, plant pathology, and have growing experience. Experience in raising, and caring for animals is closer to forty years, including several years as a vet tech. High marks in pre-vet courses in college could not get me into veterinary school so I became a mother instead. Again I offer college training mixed with life knowledge.

Art has been with me all my life. Recently I dabbled in portrait work. I have extensive college credits with no degree obtained. I have trained in drawing, painting, sculpture, and art techniques at State College of Florida and minored in photography.

Creativity is a great key to learning. Many children with learning difficulties often thrive with a one-on-one type of teaching. I love to teach through project and am great with kinesthetic learners. I am a grandmother figure with lots of patience and endless ideas for teaching. I am available most days 8 am to 8 pm with the exception of Thursdays when I must be in class by 6 pm. Never stop learning. My fee is $30 per hour to begin my experience as a tutor.
