I have previous experience doing private tutoring for fellow classmates through my dorm hall along with tutoring middle school students while in high school through the school's program. I take a diagnostic to see what areas of the subject are particularly hard for the student, and see how they learn best whether that be through practice problems or explanations of the theory behind the general concept. I will not directly show the answer, but instead will lead the student to how to solve the problem and get the answer for them to be able for them to get future questions correct whether it be on homework or an exam.
I do not have any previous teaching experience, but I do have tutoring experience with middle and high school students. This was through one-on-one tutoring in either the library or a classroom after school. I have been doing private tutoring for around the past 3 years, and have about 200 hours of experience. I am always open to critique if there is a way you believe that I can improve my tutoring style.
