Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I have over 5 years of experience tutoring Algebra 1 through private sessions and at Mathnasium, where I helped students strengthen their foundational math skills. As a biomedical engineering graduate, I use a logical and visual approach to make algebra concepts more intuitive and engaging. I’ve worked with students of all learning styles and am skilled at breaking down problems step by step to build confidence and mastery. My goal is to help students understand not just how to solve equations, but why the methods work.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I have a strong background in Algebra 2, which I reinforced by volunteering at a local high school to work with students in the math honors society, Mu Alpha Theta. I met with them weekly to teach supplemental Algebra 2 lessons and helped prepare them for regional and state Mu Alpha Theta competitions. I focused on building problem-solving skills, reinforcing foundational concepts, and introducing advanced strategies tailored to competition-style questions. This experience allowed me to create engaging lessons that challenged students while making the material more accessible and confidence-building.
Anatomy

Anatomy

I’m currently a medical student with a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology, reinforced by hands-on experience in an anatomy lab where I prepared cadaver dissections and helped undergraduate students grasp complex anatomical structures. This lab work, paired with my ongoing medical training, has given me a deep and practical understanding of human anatomy. I’ve also worked as a science tutor for several years, helping students in biology, anatomy, and related subjects by breaking down dense material into clear, digestible concepts. In addition to my academic experience, I’ve worked as a medical assistant in both dermatology and orthopedics—specialties where detailed anatomical knowledge is essential. These clinical roles have shown me how anatomy directly informs patient care, and I love incorporating that real-world perspective into my teaching.
Biochemistry

Biochemistry

I took Biochemistry (BCH4024) during the second semester of my sophomore year and earned an A in the course. After excelling in the class, I was selected to serve as a Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader, where I led weekly group tutoring sessions to help students master challenging biochemistry concepts. I held this position during Summer C semester after I took the course and in the Fall semester of my junior year. In this role, I created custom practice problems and diagrams each week to reinforce the course material in an engaging, student-friendly way. My sessions focused on topics such as enzyme kinetics, metabolism, protein structure, and biochemical pathways. In addition to weekly sessions, I hosted Zoom “walk-in” tutoring and answered student questions. This experience strengthened both my understanding of the material and my ability to explain complex topics clearly and effectively, while adapting to students' learning needs.
Chemistry

Chemistry

During my undergraduate studies, I earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering and further studied Chemistry as a minor. With my background in engineering and chemistry and current training as a medical student, I’ve developed a strong foundation in chemistry that bridges both academic and real-world applications. I’ve worked extensively with students in Honors and AP Chemistry, as well as university-level General Chemistry I and II, helping them master key topics such as stoichiometry, atomic structure, acid-base reactions, and kinetics. During undergrad, I served as a Teaching Assistant for Chemistry I and II, where I held weekly office hours and led exam review sessions. I also worked as a subject expert at Study Edge, developing effective strategies to make abstract chemistry concepts more understandable. With a background in Biomedical Engineering and current training as a medical student, I enjoy connecting chemistry to real-world applications in healthcare, making lessons more engaging and relevant. I specialize in tailoring my explanations to each student’s learning style—whether through visual aids, analogies, or step-by-step breakdowns.
Differential Equations

Differential Equations

I took Differential Equations during my freshman year as part of my engineering curriculum and earned top marks in the course. I’ve since applied this knowledge in various real-world projects—for example, modeling heat transfer in biological tissues and analyzing electrical circuits for biomedical devices using systems of first- and second-order differential equations. I also used differential equations in my Parkinson’s disease research, where we analyzed neural signal data and modeled system responses to deep brain stimulation, which relies on understanding dynamic systems and their behavior over time. This hands-on experience has deepened my understanding of both the theory and practical utility of differential equations, and I enjoy helping students see how these concepts directly apply to fields like medicine, neuroscience, and engineering.
Genetics

Genetics

I have a strong foundation in genetics through my undergraduate coursework and my current studies as a medical student. I’ve tutored students in molecular biology and genetics, helping them understand topics like Mendelian inheritance, gene expression, and genetic disorders. While working as a tutor, I created review guides and led exam prep sessions tailored to college students. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex topics in an easy-to-understand, engaging way.
MCAT

MCAT

As a medical student and biomedical engineering graduate, I have a strong grasp of the content areas covered on the MCAT, including biology, biochemistry, physics, chemistry, psychology, and sociology. I scored a 518 on the MCAT with a breakdown of 132 C/P, 127 CARS, 131 B/B, and 128 P/S. I specialize in tutoring the C/P and B/B sections, with a focus on diagnosing individual weaknesses, refining timing and passage approaches, and reinforcing foundational science concepts. I tailor my teaching style to each student’s learning preferences, and I’m passionate about helping students gain confidence and reach their full potential on test day.
Physics

Physics

With a strong foundation in engineering and extensive experience applying physics in both academic and research settings, I’ve spent over 5 years tutoring algebra- and calculus-based Physics, covering topics such as kinematics, forces, energy, circuits, magnetism, and optics. As a student at the University of Florida, I earned top grades in my physics courses and served as a teaching assistant for Physics I & II where I held office hours and guided exam preparation sessions. I later worked as a tutor through my university and at a company called Study Edge to support my peers in physics courses, helping them build confidence and master problem-solving strategies. My engineering background has significantly strengthened my understanding of physics—through hands-on lab courses, I built projects like an ECG circuit using operational amplifiers, filters, and signal processing techniques. In my undergraduate research lab, I applied circuit theory to design radiofrequency coils used for transmitting and receiving signals in MRI studies. Now as a medical student, I continue to bridge physics concepts with real-world healthcare applications. I tailor each session to a student’s learning style and focus on making physics both approachable and relevant.
SAT Math

SAT Math

After graduating with my undergraduate degree, I took a gap year before starting medical school and I worked at Huntington Prep to tutor SAT Math. I have helped students strengthen their math skills and reach their score goals. As an SAT Math tutor, I provided individualized instruction tailored to each student’s learning style and specific areas for improvement. Extremely Helpful

Elizabeth has been an incredible support for me throughout my tutoring journey, and I genuinely can’t recommend her enough. I first started working with her for General Chemistry II, which was a class I was really struggling to keep up with. She takes the time to understand where I’m getting stuck and explains things in a way that’s not only clear but also tailored to how I learn best. After seeing how helpful our sessions were for Gen Chem, I asked if she could also help me with my Genetics class. She’s really great at breaking down complex material into manageable parts, and she never makes me feel rushed or overwhelmed. No matter how many questions I have or how many times I need something explained, she’s always patient and thorough. One of my favorite things about working with Elizabeth is the whiteboard application she uses during our sessions. She writes out explanations, draws diagrams, and works through problems in real time, which really helps me visualize and retain the material better. After each session, she sends me the notes so I can go back and review everything we covered. Elizabeth's teaching style have made a huge impact on my learning. I feel much more confident in both classes, and I’ve seen real improvement. Overall, she’s been an incredibly positive influence, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for tutoring help.
