I am a Summa Cum Laude Elementary Education Graduate from the Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and have worked professionally as a graphic designer, teacher, and tutor for over 30 years. Currently, I tutor students virtually in CA, FL, MD, MI and TX, all of where I have completed background checks.

I strive to help my students overcome the challenges they face in learning and provide them with the strategies and tools they need to succeed. As I was earning my elementary education degree in Michigan, I had to learn all about Common Core Standards and even implemented the standards while student teaching. In Florida, I was a classroom teacher as well as a long- and short-term substitute for over ten years and implemented Common Core Standards and then the new B.E.S.T. standards. Additionally, I am currently tutoring students in various states and implement the required state standards.

I am a Summa Cum Laude Elementary Education Graduate. In the classroom, I implemented a management plan and established grade appropriate curriculum encompassing cognitive, emotional, physical and social development. Additionally, I planned lessons, adapted them to meet the needs of individual learners, created critical literacy centers, and utilized both authentic and standard forms of assessment. Furthermore, I participated in grade-level curriculum workshops, parent-teacher conferences, and regularly communicated with parents via a weekly newsletter.

While living in Michigan, I worked for various companies as a graphic designer before starting and running my own business. Then, when I moved to Florida, I continued working in graphic design as an independent contractor. I am skilled in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop and have designed a vast variety of items such as ads, animations, billboards, brochures, business stationery, catalogs, invitations, logos, and packaging.
