Math doesn’t have to be frustrating or intimidating. I’m an experienced mathematics teacher with five years of experience teaching middle and high school students, and I hold a master’s degree in engineering. I enjoy helping students understand not just how to solve a problem, but why the solution works. My goal is to help students build both stronger math skills and the confidence to use them independently.
My tutoring approach is personalized to each student. I begin by identifying what the student already understands and where they are getting stuck. From there, I explain concepts in clear, manageable steps, use examples that match the student’s level, and provide guided practice until they are comfortable working independently. I am patient and encourage students to ask questions without feeling embarrassed about making mistakes. I believe mistakes are an important part of learning mathematics.
Over the years, I have worked with students at different academic levels and with different learning needs in both classroom and individualized settings. I can help students strengthen foundational skills, keep up with their current coursework, understand difficult concepts, prepare for tests, and develop better problem-solving strategies. Whether your student needs occasional help with a challenging topic or consistent support throughout the school year, I will tailor our sessions to their specific goals and pace. My aim is for every student to leave a tutoring session understanding something that previously seemed difficult—and feeling more confident about tackling the next problem.
