COVID-19 had taken me out of the classroom for a quarter. I chose to retire out after 22 years. I will miss my math, so this will be a great opportunity in continuing to share my knowledge. For 4 years I taught Elementary School and for the 18 years, I have taught the other 3 subjects, I have had thousands of students. When students still come back and say that l was the best math teacher they ever had because I teach slowly and patiently, I will let that speak for itself. It is truly not...

For 4 years I taught Elementary School and for the 18 years, I have taught the other 3 subjects, I have had thousands of students. When students still come back and say that l was the best math teacher they ever had because I teach slowly and patiently, I will let that speak for itself. It is truly not about me, it is about the student. My school district wanted curriculum on a fast paced schedule. I always found myself lagging because l could not and would not move on when students weren't "getting it". I struggled with math as a young girl and found that my math teachers, though very knowledgeable, had great difficulty teaching it. I had to find ways to teach myself in a non internetted world back then. I compiled many, many tricks for remembering things like formulas, relationships between math words and daily words, and anything that would help me make a connection. I still use them. My students still use them. It would be sad to keep these to myself now that in retired, so l want to keep passing them on. I have and am still editing my website...please take some time to visit ....to check out more about me. Take a moment to email me and I will give that to you. I have developed a huge following and will not always have the room, but my website might give you some ways to get some answers to your questions via email and videos. I am very excited about this possibilty of helping more students until time and spots open up. I can be available at all and many differerent hours and not just locked into 9-5 hours if you utilize my site. My goal is to help as many students as possible and not turn anyone down for too long of a period of time. I truly have developed some of the most unique tricks and ideas to make math less stressful and maybe even more fun for you and your child!

I have a Master's Degree in Mathematics but it is not that degree that makes me any more intelligent than others. I struggled as a young high school math student. I am convinced some teachers, though very mathematically intelligent, do not know quite how to deliver. In the 70s, I had some of those. I had to learn ways to teach myself how to remember things and make connections. Once I became a teacher, I used those methods very successfully.

Though I have not taught Algebra 2 in many years, if you would like for me to tutor you in it, I would love to have all questions needing to be covered ahead of time in order to go over them. This keeps from wasting online time.

For the last 18 years I have been in high school and middle school math. I began my career in 1999 where i taught elementary school. I found math to be favorite to teach so I went on to middle and then high school. In 2008 I received my Master's Degree in Mathematics Education. I still have my Professional Teaching Certificate for Elementary School.

I began my career as an Elementary Education teacher. I spent time in grades 1-6 during my nine years. I went on to teach high school, yet continued to help my own children through elementary school with their studies, including writing. I enjoy writing and have written many articles. I am in the process of writing a book about Homeschooling.

In 2014, my husband and I had a child. To be closer to home, I left the high school I was at, that was a bit far, and landed a job in a middle school near my home. I wanted to be closer to my new baby. THe position I spent the next 4 years in was Pre-Algebra. It was great and I was very successful.
