COVID-19 had taken me out of the classroom for a quarter. I was ordered back to the classroom with face to face students. Due to my husband's heart condition, I chose to retire out after 22 years. I will miss my math, so this will be a great opportunity in continuing to share my knowledge.

For 4 years I taught Elementary School and for the 18 years, I have taught the other 3 subjects, I have had thousands of students. When students still come back and say that l was the best math teacher they ever had because I teach slowly and patiently, I will let that speak for itself. It is truly not about me, it is about the student. My school district wanted curriculum on a fast paced schedule. I always found myself lagging because l could not and would not move on when students weren't "getting it".

I struggled with math as a young girl and found that my math teachers, though very knowledgeable, had great difficulty teaching it. I had to find ways to teach myself in a non internetted world back then. I compiled many, many tricks for remembering things like formulas, relationships between math words and daily words, and anything that would help me make a connection. I still use them. My students still use them. It would be sad to keep these to myself now that in retired, so l want to keep passing them on.

I hope that you will take a moment to consider allowing me to help. I do not take offence to those who choose to rate me with a negative review. When they do not show up for several sessions, that is a reflection of them as a parent, not me as a tutor. I certainly LOVE what I do and am wiling to offer my services to you and you can expect great services and results.

For the last 18 years I have been in high school and middle school math. I began my career in 1999 where i taught elementary school. I found math to be favorite to teach so I went on to middle and then high school. In 2008 I received my Master's Degree in Mathematics Education. I still have my Professional Teaching Certificate for Elementary School.

I began my career as an Elementary Education teacher. I spent time in grades 1-6 during my nine years. I went on to teach high school, yet continued to help my own children through elementary school with their studies, including writing. I enjoy writing and have written many articles. I am in the process of writing a book about Homeschooling.

I have a Master's Degree in Mathematics but it is not that degree that makes me any more intelligent than others. I struggled as a young high school math student. I am convinced some teachers, though very mathematically intelligent, do not know quite how to deliver. In the 70s, I had some of those. I had to learn ways to teach myself how to remember things and make connections. Once I became a teacher, I used those methods very successfully.

Though I have not taught Algebra 2 in many years, if you would like for me to tutor you in it, I would love to have all questions needing to be covered ahead of time in order to go over them. This keeps from wasting online time.

In 2014, my husband and I had a child. To be closer to home, I left the high school I was at, that was a bit far, and landed a job in a middle school near my home. I wanted to be closer to my new baby. THe position I spent the next 4 years in was Pre-Algebra. It was great and I was very successful.

Fun, patient and very knowledgeable

Robin inspires kids to enjoy and love math. Math was challenging for my daughter but now she looks forward to lessons with Robin every week. Robin makes it fun but also very personal so that kids feel engaged and gain confidence in their math skills.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

Robin has a way to connect with my daughter not just as a student but as a person. Robin takes the time to understand what and how my daughter understands and then brings her to the place of understanding math. She is warm, kind, and really knows her stuff! We are very grateful!

Wonderful and engaging

Robin worked with my son for his 6th grade Honors Math class. She is funny and engaging and was so helpful in preparing him for his math quiz. We will definitely be working with Robin again. Thank you Robin!

my daughter is very confident about math now!

It’s been a month to study math with Robin. When she teaches, uses visual explanations like drawing and make sure kids are following or not. My daughter is so happy to understand Her math class well in her 7th grade. She told me that she felts she is so smart! 😂 She is really better in her math class! We are very lucky to find a teacher like Robin👍🏻

Making math fun!

Robin started working with my son this week on his 5th grade math. Two lessons in and he adores Robin! She is starting off seeing where he’s at and looking for weak points and progressing from there. He says she’s his favorite tutor ☺️ (She’s the only tutor he has and has ever had but considering he didn’t want a tutor, it means a lot 😜). I look forward to many more sessions with her and seeing the progress with my boy! 😊

Fantastic Teacher!

Today was my daughter's second day and she can NOT stop talking about Ms. Robin. She LOVES her math methods so far and they just started! I'm enjoying how excited she is for the next lesson.

Amazing teacher

Robin is so personable and knowledgeable, we loved every second of our tutoring session. My son didn’t want to spend the full hour before our first session, but at the end he was shocked it was over. He can’t wait for our next session with her! Highly recommend
