I'm passionate about working with students to improve their writing and learning skills. My primary focus centers around helping students develop the tools they need to understand ideas and communicate them effectively. I also frequently work with students on:

I graduated from the University of Florida with honors and a dual B.A. in political science and economics. I went on to law school at Georgetown Law obtaining my J.D. sum cum laude. I practiced law for a few years in D.C. before transitioning to teaching. I loved working with students and have now accumulated 20 years of experience teaching in higher education and grades K-12.
With students running the gamut from pre-K through college, I have a unique chance to see what works and what doesn't for becoming a strong learner throughout your education. I focus on helping students not only master content but develop the learning skills that will help them succeed in all levels of school and work. These skills include: identifying useful note-taking techniques, the efficient organization of study material, finding the instructional material that allows you to understand concepts, and developing a work schedule that allows you to satisfy your school requirements without being overwhelmed. With over 20 years of experience helping students flourish, I've earned a solid reputation for enabling students to find their way in school and learn to manage their own learning.

I have worked with younger students to develop foundational skills, especially those who struggle or have missed steps in their education.
