I am a medical doctor with experience in medical tutoring and clinical research. My experience in clinical research in medicine has helped me develop skills to search the medical literature to find up to date information on patient management and current online educational resources for the USMLE.
I am very interested in helping students achieve their academic goals to obtain great scores on their USMLE examinations. I love medical tutoring because it helps future medical professionals grasp knowledge they see on questions, reinforcing high yield information frequently tested.
I have extensive experience tutoring for USMLE Step 1, 2 and 3. I have used high yield Q-banks to dissect questions for clinical clues in order to yield the correct answer choice. I like suggesting students what are the best educational resources such as: review books, Q banks, and online tests according to each specific examination. I have also put together summaries to quickly review high yield information.
Additionally, I have written vignette style questions and thorough explanations for the USMLE Step 1 and 2. This is helpful when approaching/answering questions in order to identify what the test-writer is specifically asking, ultimately being able to pinpoint the correct answer among all the provided choices. Knowing the medical content is important to have a solid foundation of medicine, which is extremely useful in the practice of medicine, but for test purposes, more importantly is being able to select the correct choice in a timely manner.
Students should develop test-taking skills like: clinical cues identification from the vignette, fast specific reading, time management, answer choices elimination, question marking and final review of answered questions.
I look forward to learning more from you in order to help you develop a personalized strategy to ultimately achieve your goal score. Good luck to you!
