While in Kansas, I worked as a phlebotomist to gain medical experience prior to trying to apply for Physician Assistant school. I interned in Memphis, TN at St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital for a little while. Then moved to Rhode Island to work. Started to fall in love with running and weight lifting more competitively. May 2019 I started my path towards becoming a PA-C in Orlando, FL. Currently have an amazing puppy who loves to run with me--when the sun is down of course.
Always loved teaching math. Was a subject that I typically understood well and could help others understand concepts. This was my highest scoring section on my ACT/GRE testings.
I have an extensive medical background. I have been through general science classes multiple times in my academia career. I have also taught some of these classes as an undergraduate teaching assistant. Currently in my PA career, I have dove into vast depths of the science realm and have a wealth of knowledge and resources to pull from.
Being a busy student is one of the hardest things to undertake. It requires a lot of determination and knowing when to ask for help. Which is TOTALLY okay! I wish I had taken these steps you are right now earlier. I understand what it is like to be a student who is busy with a thousand and one things to do. I've also been the student who has struggled with course material and needed help understanding concepts-so I have experienced bad tutors and learned from their mistakes. Also, I am always here to help. For me, I just want to help someone get to their end goal.
