Bio

My name is Tracey and I look forward to working with you. I graduated summa cum laude with my Doctorate degree in Psychology this year. I have a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Counseling and Psychology, respectively. I have worked in the psychology and criminal justice fields for most of my adult life, which enables me to provide real-life experience as part of my teaching and tutoring approach. My name is Tracey and I look forward to working with you. I graduated summa cum laude with my Doctorate degree in Psychology this year. I have a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Counseling and Psychology, respectively. I have worked in the psychology and criminal justice fields for most of my adult life, which enables me to provide real-life experience as part of my teaching and tutoring approach. I teach with the goal of providing students the skills to be able to implement the skills learned in a way that it is motivating and engaging. As students are actively engaged in the process, students are empowered and willing to learn the material. I want my students to learn in a way that helps the student to be more successful in the classroom and understand the information. I am open to working in a collaborative way, in which the student can be honest about ways to assist in their learning. I will teach the student in a way that helps them to learn.

English was not my favorite class in school, which means that I had to work harder to truly understand the class. Due to the fact that English was not my favorite, I learned how to understand English in a nontraditional way. My own experience has helped me to become a better teacher to those who do not join English. On the other hand, I love to read. I became an avid reader early on. I also take pride in proofreading my student's work to ensure that they are ready for college-level essays. Spelling has always been a strong suit of mine. I did very well in many spelling bees. Criminal Justice has always been a passion of mine. I graduated from college with a minor in Criminal Justice. I was hooked after one class.
