I graduated from the University of Washington in 2019 with a B.S. degree in Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biololgy before graduating in 2024 with a Masters of Medical Science in Human Genetics & Genetic Counseling from Emory University. I have extensive laboratory research experience from two different labs studying pigmentation pathways and the pathology of Alzheimer's Disease during my undergraduate degree.

I have been tutoring classmates, friends, and students for more than 7 years in cell biology, AP Biology, environmental science, genetics, biochemistry, Study Skills and Organization, ADHD management, Algebra, Geometry, & History. All of my tutoring experience has been with students ages of 10+.

I love tutoring because of the improvement it makes in the lives of my students. Nothing makes me happier than to see a student go from struggling and unconfident to being excited to learn and excel in a topic. As someone with a very colorful academic history, I understand both sides of the tutoring world and apply all my experiences to help my students the best I can. I love being a mentor and tutor to my students and am sincerely passionate about their success. I pride myself on my ability to adjust to the learning styles of my students and the supplemental outside resources I provide.

I was diagnosed with ADHD at 19 after flunking my first year of college. I learned strong management techniques, changed my study habits, learned to reduce distractions I can control, and how to minimize those I cannot. I returned to school and graduated cum laude from my both my undergraduate and graduate training programs. Through my many experiences, I have transformed my academic experience and learned how to cope with living with ADHD. I've learned the importance of variety, consistent but flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and many other skills crucial to succeeding academically with ADHD.

Feel free to contact me to learn more and set up a time that we could meet! I look forward to helping you today!

ADHD

I was diagnosed with ADHD at 19 after failing my first year of college. I learned strong management techniques, changed my study habits, learned to reduce distractions I can control and how to minimize those I can't. I returned to school and have maintained a 3.6 GPA and Dean's List standing between two different universities. I will be completing my B.S. of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of Washington this December, and am currently applying to medical schools. I have transformed my academic experience and learned how to cope with having ADHD in academically-rigorous settings.

Genetics

Genetics

In addition to my genetics classes during my undergraduate coursework, I have two years of lab research in genetics. The first lab I was a part of involved studying cell pigmentation and novel mutations, and the lab I am currently in studies the pathology and genetic influencers of Alzheimer's Disease. My hands-on experiences allow me to give real-world examples from my lab experiences to aid my students. This allows me to emphasize the transformation of genetics topics and techniques into applicable practical skills and knowledge.
Study Skills

Study Skills

I graduated from the University of Washington with my Bachelor's Degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology in December of 2019 and am now waiting to enter medical school. I wasn't diagnosed with my ADHD until I had failed my freshman year of college. Though it was long ago, the feelings of failure, inadequacy, self-doubt, frustration, and misunderstanding seem like yesterday and help me to sympathize and identify with my students. Nothing brings me greater joy than to see my students gain the confidence, organizational skills, and study skills they so desperately need and to see the happiness and newly instilled pride it brings them.

So helpful for my ADHD son -- kind, understanding, and motivating

Braydon provided some much needed confidence for my son struggling with ADHD and having a difficult time getting started on some key papers. My son is well on his way to completing his assignment on time.
