I am Elena. I graduated from Russian University of Peoples’ Friendship in Moscow with a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics. Learning and teaching foreign languages has always been my passion. The University’s dedicated instructors and course directors gave me profound knowledge of Russian grammar, morphology, syntax and pedagogics. I love sharing my knowledge of the Russian language with students all over the world. I started tutoring English and Russian 6 years ago as a volunteering teacher for a charitable foundation “Gift of Life” in Moscow.

Most of my students were High School graduates and adults. When I saw the energy, positive attitude and great feedback from my students, I decided never quit tutoring even after I moved to the United States 2 years ago and continued tutoring via Skype.

In my teaching practice I always follow the Lesson plan, which determines the topic and includes Grammar materials and exercises. For a better result, at the end of the lesson students have a chance to practice new Vocabulary and Grammar in an interactive and entertaining way. I understand that some of my students have a busy schedule, but I never underestimate the importance of homework. The best way to learn foreign language is to constantly practice it. That is why I have an individual approach to every student. It helps me to determine Lesson Plans and home tasks that perfectly match a student’s schedule and particular areas of attention.

I do care a lot about the positive result and progress that my students make. I will be happy to assist new students in their willingness to learn the Russian language!
