The problem is that no one has identified the specific concepts holding them back. That is where my teaching is different. I don't believe in generic lesson plans or teaching every student the same way. During our first sessions, I carefully evaluate your current knowledge, identify your strengths and weaknesses, and determine exactly what is preventing you from reaching your target score. From there, I create a personalized study plan that focuses on the skills that will have the greatest impact on your ASVAB performance. This targeted approach saves time, builds confidence, and helps you make measurable progress with every lesson. I provide comprehensive instruction in every major ASVAB subject, including Arithmetic Reasoning, Mathematics Knowledge, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, General Science, and Auto & Shop Information. Goes above and beyond!

Stephen really goes above and beyond to help his students succeed! He provides a wide variety of worksheets with practice problems, and breaks down the tough questions into a simpler form. What really stands out to me is how knowledgeable he is, he doesn’t just explain things one way, but offers multiple methods so each student can find the approach that works best for them. He is incredibly patient and understanding, always willing to take the time out of his day to help during and after sessions without charge. Overall, he is very supportive, good with communicating, ensuring a comfortable environment, and amazing person who truly cares about his students’ success!

Helped me pass my TEAS exam!!! :’)

I highly recommend Stephen as a tutor! I only worked with him for a short amount of time, but he helped me so much with preparing for my TEAS, and I passed! He didn’t just tutor me, he actually created a study plan for me and gave me helpful worksheets that helped both of us understand where I was at and what I needed to work on. He genuinely cares about helping his students understand the material. He will not let you get off that tutoring session confused lol. He’ll answer every question and break things down as many times as needed until it finally clicks. If there’s anyone I would recommend for TEAS tutoring, it’s definitely him. He really puts time, effort, and thought into what he does, and I’m so thankful for all his help!

Very patient and caring tutor who will cheer you on.

Stephen set up an assessment to get an idea of my strengths and weaknesses in preparation for my (math) PERT college exam. He used that to make me a personalized lesson plan to quickly get me to where I needed to be. He has been very patient and understanding of my skillset. He taught me multiple ways to get around different math problems and prepared me homework to study after our lessons. His ability to teach things in so many ways to find which method clicks best for you is remarkable. He was able to teach me algebra concepts I wasn't ever able to grasp before during high-school, with patience and encouragement. He's always making time to answer your questions even outside of his lessons. If you've always been weaker in math like me, he will help you to see it in a new perspective and finally enjoy doing it. I highly recommend Stephen for any of your math needs.

Truly the best!

I truly don’t have enough good things to say about Stephen. I’ve had many tutors throughout my life, but no one has ever helped me the way he has. As a 'unique learner,' I often process information differently, and Stephen takes the genuine time to understand my specific thinking process. He doesn’t just 'teach' a subject or show you how to solve a problem; he translates the information so that YOU specifically will understand it. He is incredibly knowledgeable and goes out of his way to figure out your learning style so he can be the best teacher possible for you. For my TEAS test prep, he has put in so many extra hours outside of our sessions—analyzing my strengths, identifying what I need to work on, and building custom lesson plans and resources. I never thought I would say this about a teacher, but he actually makes learning fun. I used to dread tutoring, but now I look forward to it because of the environment he creates. It is so clear that he truly cares about you as both a student and a person; he doesn't just want you to pass, he wants you to excel. After graduating high school and finishing two years of college, I can say without a doubt that Stephen is the best teacher I’ve ever had. He was truly made for this. I couldn’t recommend him enough!

Knowledgeable and patient

Stephen has been helping my daughter with studying for the ASVAB mostly math skills. He is always very patient with her. Over time I have seen her advance and become more confident with her work. Even in the areas where she has a harder time with understanding the work Stephen stays the same level of patients as always. He is always very respectful to the both of us. He always keeps me in the loop about her progress and whatever plans he has for her for future lessons. I am very happy with my choice to move forward with Stephen for our tutor and even after my daughter takes and passes the ASVAB. We will be sticking with Stephen. He is not just an amazing tutor but a great human being, He is always understanding and kind.
