My qualifications include ten years of elementary school teaching . In my recent position I taught grades four through to six. For the last four years I effectively taught and managed grade six, preparing creative lesson plans, keeping accurate records and preparing them for standardized testing. I also tutored after school program for grade 6 students who needed extra help.
I consider myself a very dedicated and self motivated person, I was regularly praised for my dedication and the ways in which I executed my lessons. I also pride myself in turning an ordinary space into a conducive learning environment.
My Grade six class was the remedial class, these students had behavioral issues and read below their class level. There was no standard way of testing them in Jamaica where I worked but some of these students had special needs. Even though I am not a trained Special Education teacher I did an excellent job in getting them ready for testing.
