Hello. I am a middle school ELA teacher for at risk students in Orlando, FL. Throughout my career, I have worked with PreK up through 8th grade. I have experience with the special needs population, particularly the autistic spectrum and ADHD students.

My own child is on the autistic spectrum so I have first hand knowledge of this type of child. I am familiar with the IEP, CPSE and CSE procedures.

I am currently tutoring several students throughout Orlando. My primary focus is reading (phonics and comprehension) and writing skills. This includes vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure and spelling.

I teach through a multi-sensory approach since everyone learns differently. I offer online tutoring in a safe, one to one setting. With the busy lives of my families today, they find online tutoring very convenient. Scheduling sessions is the biggest benefit. Some families have many children that have to be in different places at the same time. With online tutoring, it can be done anywhere.

At the first lesson, I offer a free reading assessment (which is a $75.00 value). Yes. I said free. After the assessment, I sit down with you and discuss the results. You know your child better than anyone else. Together we decide on a learning plan that would best fit your child. At that point, we begin sessions working on what we decided the learning concepts should be.

When you decide to move forward with sessions, I will give you the information that you need regarding procedures for payment, policies and cancellations. I would love the opportunity to work with your child so they will feel successful in school and not be as frustrated. Please contact me so we can discuss your child's needs. Thanks.

Elementary (K-6th)

I am a certified teacher who has been teaching for 15 years. During my career, I have taught in a wide variety of classrooms such as general education, inclusion classrooms, resource room, and self-contained special education classrooms. I have taught Pre-k through grade 5. I teach all of the elementary subjects: ELA, math, science, social studies, reading support and reading comprehension, spelling, and writing. I use a multisensory approach to each subject and I use many different methods to make learning fun and meaningful to every student. I would love the opportunity to speak with you and your student so we can determine what is the most effective approach. Contact me today to discuss your needs. I am available in the summer as well.

Phonics

I have been helping students in reading for several years. Specifically, I am taking a reading interventionist program that focuses on phonics and reading strategies. I am an elementary teacher in my local public school district. Since I started working in the school district, I have worked in self-contained special education classrooms, inclusion classrooms, resource room and general education classrooms.
