I'm a third-year pre-med student at the University of Central Florida with a 4.0 GPA, and I tutor the subjects I've personally mastered on the road to medical school: Chemistry (1 & 2), Biology, Calculus 1 or below, Statistics, and SAT Math. I'm a third-year pre-med student at the University of Central Florida with a 4.0 GPA, and I tutor the subjects I've personally mastered on the road to medical school: Chemistry (1 & 2), Biology, Calculus 1 or below, Statistics, and SAT Math. What sets me apart isn't just that I excelled in these courses — it's that I remember what it felt like to struggle with them before things clicked. That experience makes me a much more effective tutor than someone who always found it easy.
I've been tutoring both informally and in paid settings for a couple of years now, working with high school and college students one-on-one. My approach is simple: I figure out where the gap is, strip the concept down to its core, and rebuild understanding in a way that actually sticks. I adapt to each student's pace, and have been applauded many times for my easy to understand and down to earth explanations. I never make a student feel rushed or embarrassed for not knowing something.
My goal every session is for the student to leave feeling more confident than when they arrived — and for that confidence to show up on their next exam.
