Hi, my name is Sam! I am a Registered Nurse and dedicated tutor with a strong passion for helping students build confidence and succeed academically. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida, graduating Cum Laude from their competitive traditional BSN program. Before attending UCF, I completed my Associate of Arts degree through dual enrollment at Valencia College while still in high school and graduated in the top 9 out of 842 students in the Class of 2021 with a 5.4 weighted GPA. My academic background strengthened my skills in math, reading comprehension, and writing, while also teaching me the value of patience, clear explanations, and supportive learning environments.
I have several years of experience mentoring and tutoring students in one-on-one settings, working with people from elementary school through college, including those with special needs. I have helped younger students strengthen reading and math foundations, and assisted nursing students with challenging coursework and NCLEX exam preparation.
I focus on step-by-step explanations, guided practice, and helping students understand the “why” behind concepts so they can apply what they learn with confidence.
