Hi, I’m Nardgelen! I graduated from Florida State University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, with coursework heavily focused on Music Education. My studies included Vocal Pedagogy, Applied Voice, Choral Conducting, and teaching music in elementary classrooms. While at FSU, I gained hands-on teaching experience working with elementary, middle, and high school students through classroom labs and choir instruction at local schools.
I also served as the choral director for First Presbyterian Church of Monticello for two years, directing a choir of mixed ages and experience levels. In this role, I taught group vocal technique, led rehearsals, and guided singers in sight-singing and music reading. Since then, I’ve continued performing professionally as a vocalist in theme parks, cruise ships, and corporate events.
In 2024, I graduated from the University of Central Florida’s Full Stack Web Development Bootcamp. Prior to enrolling, I already had experience with JavaScript and building projects, which allowed me to tutor and mentor many of my cohort mates throughout the program. My interest in programming comes from a love of problem-solving and curiosity about how technology works.
I have over three years of experience teaching music, with a focus on singing, and over one year of experience tutoring coding languages and frameworks. I’ve taught students ages 12 through adult learners in one-on-one and small-group settings. My teaching style is flexible and student-centered. Vocal lessons focus on technique, confidence, and learning through songs students enjoy. Coding lessons are hands-on and collaborative, often using pair programming and project-based learning.
My goal is to create a supportive learning environment tailored to each student’s needs. I’m responsive, open to feedback, and committed to helping students succeed. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a lesson!
