I am an Honors College student working on my undergraduate degree in psychology, with a lifelong passion for music and a strong interest in mathematics. Music has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I have participated in numerous honor choirs throughout my academic career. I specialize in vocal technique and sight reading, and I love sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm with students of all levels. My goal in music tutoring is not only to improve technical skills like pitch, timing, and reading music but also to cultivate a genuine love for music and confidence in performance. I strive to make each lesson engaging and personalized, helping students grow both musically and personally.
In addition to music, I tutor algebra, geometry, probability, and statistics. My approach emphasizes understanding concepts rather than rote memorization, helping students develop problem-solving strategies they can apply independently. I have experience working with high school and early college students in one-on-one and small group settings, and I enjoy creating lessons that are both clear and interactive. My goal is always to make challenging subjects approachable and to help students feel confident in their abilities.
I conduct all tutoring sessions online through Wyzant Classroom, Zoom, or Google Meet. My style is patient, organized, and supportive, and I tailor each session to the student’s unique goals and learning style. Whether helping a student master math concepts, improve sight reading, or develop vocal technique, I bring enthusiasm, dedication, and a lifelong love for music to sessions where it applies, while ensuring each session is focused on the student’s priorities and needs.
