I hold a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Sports Management with a concentration in Recreational Therapy from Florida International University and an Applied Master’s in Psychology from Harvard University. I also hold a K–6 teaching certification and will begin my doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology in August 2025. My academic background has equipped me with a strong understanding of child development, learning theory, and evidence-based instructional strategies.
I have over eight years of experience teaching and supervising educational programming for children in both public school and community-based settings. As a former inclusion classroom teacher, I worked with students in grades K–6, including those with ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and speech/language challenges. I provided differentiated instruction using strategies rooted in the Science of Reading, such as explicit phonics, guided reading, multisensory instruction, and scaffolded comprehension activities.
Currently, I serve as an Educational Program Supervisor, where I run enrichment programs for homeschooled students ages 5–14. Many of the children I support have exceptionalities and benefit from individualized, strength-based instruction. In this role, I regularly adapt academic programming to meet varied learning needs and provide one-on-one support to students with attention, language, or processing difficulties.
I have worked in one-on-one, small group, and classroom settings, both in-person and virtually. My approach is relational, patient, and goal-oriented. I believe in meeting students where they are and using engaging, structured methods to build both skills and confidence. Whether supporting early readers, students with dyslexia, or those needing comprehension and vocabulary development, I bring a deep understanding of literacy instruction and a passion for helping every student succeed.
