Hi, I’m Zaz, a tutor with more than a decade of experience helping students improve their performance on standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT, as well as in general math, reading, and writing. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Central Florida, and I have spent many years working with middle school, high school, and college-bound students in one-on-one tutoring settings. My goal is to help students build both the academic skills and the confidence they need to perform well on important exams.
My tutoring approach is structured and focused on results. I typically begin by assessing a student’s current skill level through practice problems or diagnostic tests. From there, we work through targeted practice questions, review mistakes carefully, and develop strategies that help students recognize patterns and avoid common errors. During the pandemic, I personally completed more than 10,000 SAT and ACT math problems, which helped me develop a deep familiarity with the types of questions and strategies used on standardized tests. This allows me to explain difficult problems clearly and help students develop reliable methods for solving them efficiently.
In addition to math tutoring, I also support students in reading comprehension and writing. My background in psychology and my personal interest in literature—having read more than 100 classic works totaling over 40,000 pages—helps me guide students through SAT reading passages, essays, and other writing assignments. I enjoy working with motivated students who want to improve their skills, raise their test scores, and reach their academic goals.
