I hold a Ph.D. in Physics from Brown University and have over 15 years of experience in teaching and tutoring. I have received multiple awards for my research and teaching excellence. As a researcher in theoretical condensed matter physics and quantum optics with 20 publications, I am highly qualified to teach physics and mathematics at all levels. I held prestigious postdoctoral fellowship and was an active referee for Nature Communications, and different physics journals!

I have successfully tutored students in AP Physics I, AP Physics II, AP Physics C, and a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses, including Classical Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Optics, Thermodynamics, Statistical Mechanics, Quantum Mechanics, Quantum Physics, Solid State Physics, Relativity, Mathematical Physics, and Quantum Information.

My students' success stories speak for themselves. I helped a student who wanted to drop University Physics become the best student in their department. Another went from nearly failing Differential Equations and Electromagnetism to passing with ease in just a month. I’ve guided AP Physics students from struggling to excelling, with one now applying to Ivy League schools. Additionally, I’ve helped students pass multiple advanced courses in the same semester, including Classical Mechanics, Statistical Mechanics, and Quantum Mechanics. My students always appreciate my board knowledge in physics, and my clear picture in different areas of physics.

I have developed a vast collection of tailor-made teaching materials to suit diverse learning needs. My teaching philosophy focuses on breaking down concepts step by step, using clear explanations and practical examples to make even the most abstract topics accessible. My students highly appreciate my detailed notes and effective exam strategies.

If you're looking for a dedicated, experienced, professional tutor to help you succeed in physics and mathematics, send me a message and work together toward your academic goals!

Algebra 2

Solid background in mathematical training. Use algebra and calculus every day. Previous TA in college-level mathematical physics.
Astronomy

Astronomy

I have a PhD in physics from Brown University. I was an experienced TA for introductory astronomy and astrophysics courses. I also did research in general relativity, neutron stars, and black holes in my undergraduate studies
Calculus

Calculus

I hold a PhD in Physics from Brown University, specialized in theoretical condensed matter physics. I was also an experienced TA in mathematical physics courses that involve different topics in Calculus (single variable, multivariable, vector calculus, differential equations, applications in science and engineering).
Differential Equations

Differential Equations

I hold a PhD in Physics from Brown University, and served as multiple time as a TA in mathematical physics courses. I taught and tutored mathematical skills involving ordinary differential equation and partial differential equation. Since I am a researcher in condensed matter theory, ODE and PDE are basic skills for me.
GRE

GRE

I took the GRE Quantitative and GRE Physics subject tests in 2014. I got the maximum scores in both tests, and attended Brown University for my Physics Ph.D.
Linear Algebra

Linear Algebra

I am an active researcher in quantum condensed matter theory, which involves linear algebra as one of the basic mathematical skills that I need to use frequently.
Mathematica

Mathematica

I have used Mathematica for about 15 years. I used Mathematica in my research and coursework. I also teach Mathematica to my students who need to use it in their quantum mechanics and other physics classes.
Physics

Physics

Ph.D. in Physics from Brown University with 15 years of experience teaching and tutoring physics and mathematics across all levels (from high school to graduate courses). A distinguished researcher with over 20 publications in theoretical condensed matter and quantum physics. Recipient of multiple awards for excellence in teaching and research. Skilled in delivering physics instruction at any level, tailored to individual learning needs.
Quantum Physics

Quantum Physics

I have served as a referee for Nature Communications, Physical Review Letters, Physical Review B (specializing in condensed matter physics), and Physical Review A (specializing in atomic, molecular, and optical physics) for multiple times. I earned my Ph.D. in physics from Brown University, where my dissertation focused on the fractional quantum Hall effect and topological phases. My M.Phil. research centered on quantum optics and cold atom physics. With this strong research background, I have a solid knowledge and expertise in quantum physics — from fundamental principles to every advanced topic. I have successfully tutored over 20 students in quantum physics, and most of them received grades in the A range!
SAT Math

Patient, knowledgeable, and great at breaking things down!

Ken is an incredible tutor that has helped me with classical mechanics, statistical mechanics, quantum mechanics, and electricity and magnetism over the past six months. He's extremely knowledgeable and explains difficult concepts in a way that actually makes sense. He's also patient, encouraging, and never makes you feel rushed or intimidated. If you're struggling with physics, I highly recommend Ken—he's the best tutor I've worked with!

absolute expert in the field on physics

Ken is the best science teacher I've had, including school teachers and tutors. Before I found him, I struggled in Physics, always falling behind; his detailed explanations completely lifted my grades. Overall, teaching skill-wise, he is the best science teacher I've seen.

truly amazing

extremely intelligent, effectively communicative of complex concepts across quantum and classical mechanics. kind, funny, and efficient. answered all of my questions easy and hard. we covered a lot of review material in a short period of time. answers were concise and intelligible. I'm very lucky I got to work with Ken.

Excellent and Motivated Tutor I have ever had!

Ken taught me the concepts of quantum mechanics. He explained every variable and calculations throughly so I could understand the material. Ken is very patient. I did not come in this with a strong background in Physics, but Ken made it so comprehensible for me. I have been through a few tutors, and I can honestly say that Ken is the best. If you are struggling in Physics or some sort of math/calculus, Ken is the right person for the job!
