Hey it's Cassio! I am finishing up my Bachelor's Degree for Communication at University of Central Florida. I am constantly looking for ways to improve myself and found a perfect outlet. Chess!
I started playing Chess a couple years back and quickly realized just how fun and stimulating it can be. I brought my chess board to my office one day and quickly realized not many people know how to play chess and that's when I began tutoring people on how to play. In just a short amount of time I had everyone discussing different chess opening theories and a constant stream of challenges came my way. I didn't realize it at the time until I started teaching my younger siblings(age 14-18) and their friends just how infectious and fun playing Chess can be. Needless to say I was able to not only get so many people involved in chess but also assist in growing their experience with Chess.
I style my teaching habits based on the person I am teaching. Some people for example are more aggressive and prefer a faster style of learning. Others needed more time and explaining on what moves were better and why. At the end of the day the way I approach chess is simple. I aim to be patient and understanding as not everyone thinks the same. Most people assume chess is isolating and boring. My goal however is to make chess fun and engaging while advancing your current skills.
