By day, I am a school-based occupational therapist, and by night (well... during the school year at least for certain late afternoons, evenings, and/or Saturdays. I have a bachelor's in Psychology and Health Science & master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of Florida. I have worked as an occupational therapist for over 10 years- first in an outpatient pediatric clinic & more recently in schools. This has given me the privilege of working with a variety of backgrounds, ages & special needs including ADHD, autism, cerebral palsy, and developmental delays, among others. I have had the opportunity to work with students in both general education and self-contained settings (including the communication and social skills, physical impairment, behavioral, and supported level academic self-contained settings). This has allowed me to see kids in various educational environments, collaborate on accommodations, & help develop IEPs.

During the school year, my current availability includes Mondays from 4:15-7:00 EST &/or on Saturdays morning - 4:00pm EST. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or are interested in having me work with your child!

I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and health science, and a master's degree in occupational therapy. I also am a certified and licensed occupational therapist. I spent over 5 years working in an outpatient pediatric clinic and the most recent 5 years in elementary schools. I have worked with many clients/students with ADHD. In outpatient I would often address sensory processing skills and reflex integration among other skills, and in schools, I often look at accommodations that may be helpful for the student.

For the past 10+ years, I have worked with children with a variety of conditions including autism. First as an outpatient pediatric occupational therapist, we would work on things like sensory processing, joint attention, task completion, self-help skills, and/or fine motor skills. More recently, I have been working as a school-based occupational therapist. During 3 summers (including the Summer of 2020 which was virtual due to Covid), my part time extended school year caseload included students at a center school for communication and social skills, which primarily taught students with autism.

I am a licensed and registered occupational therapist, currently practicing in the school system. Over the past 5 years in the schools, I have worked with students who have been in self-contained settings including physical impairment (PI), supported level academics (SLA), communication and social skills (CSS), and behavioral support (EBD) settings, as well as students with disabilities in the general education setting. I work directly with students on independent functioning goals, consult with teachers, and make suggestions for accommodations.

Jackie was great! She seemed very comfortable interacting with my daughter at her age. She was prepared to find out what my daughter needed help with to tailor her approach and time. Jackie was encouraging at parts where my daughter was struggling. My daughter was engaged the whole time. Both my daughter and I loved our time with Jackie. Highly recommend!!!!
